Pond Life is a furniture collection inspired by the creatures, plants and structures of a pond’s ecosystem. The main points of interest in this project were in creating elegant, lightweight, honest structures, using minimal, simple materials. Every piece in the collection is flat-pack and can be assembled easily without using adhesives. The ease with which the furniture can be assembled/disassembled, stored and moved is important in creating versatile, functional objects, mirroring the dynamic, often nomadic way we live.

The collection included floor-standing, pendant and table lamps, stools and nesting tables. The Laser Lamp was the smallest piece from the Pond Life collection. A collaboration with artists, illustrators and designers based around the UK. Several original artworks based on the theme ‘Pond Life’ were created and printed on the lampshades.
