Riso prints showing Jupiter orbited by its four Galilean moons, Io, Europa, Ganymede and Callisto. Data such as moon diameter, distance from Jupiter, angle of axis and speed of orbit were used create the print. The swirling texture of Jupiter was created by marbling paper. This texture was given a large-scale pixellated appearance, reminiscent of the heavily pixellated images taken of objects at a great distance from the Earth. This was achieved by taking data from an image of Jupiter and feeding this into a custom algorithm. The A4 print has been embossed using 3D-printed embossing plates. Each quadrant of the print has received a different emboss which references the surface appearance of the moon occupying that quadrant.
